Weekly Update 1

Firstly this week I came up with a production schedule which I shall try my hardest to stick to in order to work within the deadlines. I have also decided that I will be creating a rock magazine, as this is the genre I feel that I know most about.
This week I learnt about the competition already on the market. From this I discovered that the average price range is £2.20 to £3.90. I will aim to make my magazine within this price range, however I will first look at my questionnaire results to see how much my target audience would be willing to pay.
I have also looked at words associated with rock music. This will enable me to understand why certain elements have been used in the magazines.

To compete with my competition, I will charge slightly less money for my magazine. This may convince people to buy my magazine. I will also produce my magazine weekly, as do Kerrang and NME. My magazine will have a catchline to make the name more memorable (if it is an abbreviation) or to add appeal for the target audience.
